    POWERFUL folk roots trio The Storm play a special Easter Saturday set at The Cove on March 26.

    Formed in 2011 by Kingsbridge-based Martin Jackson, Ian Feetenby and Ian Barnett after meeting at an open-mic night, their songs are based of experiences of the landscape, waters and people in Devon.

    FEMALE indie folk duo Eyes For Gertrude look to lift the roof at The Cove Cafe Bar on Saturday, July 23.

    The two-piece write full-hearted, unforgettable songs about real things. Piano pulsed, accordion tinged, guitar swooned songs are shaped around captivating observations of the everyday. Infused in their striking sound is a combination of musical influences, focusing on the balance between evocative and haunting harmonies, whilst always maintaining a skewed pop sensibility.

    Hannah and Chantelle started writing together at Dartington College of Arts and went on to spend time in Toronto - Canada and eventually recorded their debut album “Residential Bliss”, in Vancouver - winning rave reviews

    Appearances on BBC Radio 4′s Loose Ends show, Tom Robinson's BBC Radio 6 show. and at a whole host of UK festivals including Larmer Tree and Glastonbury have seen the girls build up a soild fan base.

    Having featured prominently on BBC Introducing over the past 18 months, acoustic folk artist Holly has emerged as one of the county’s big prospects.

    The 18-year-old was a finalist in the national Open Mic UK competition in 2014 and won rave reviews supporting Sound of The Sirens at a sold out Exeter Phoenix.

    Ukulele accordion duo Phil and Nigel’s festive gigs have become a staple on the Christmas calendar in Hope Cove and they return to kick start their tour here for the second year running.

    Expect plenty of festivities including specials on the menu, mulled wine and mince pies.

    Making their debut at The Cove, acoustic trio Kindred Spirit will win over your hearts with their stunning brand of folk-pop.

    Think Sound of the Sirens, twins Alice and Katie Twamley are joined by younger brother Billy on percussion - making it a real family affair that will leave you breathless.

    The hero of this year’s Hope Cove Weekend is back on the scene with his mind-blowing session of electro swing, ghetto funk and soul to see in 2017 with a boom.

    Expect The Cove Cafe Bar to be bouncing once again with over three hours of bass-fuelled funky grooves.

    Pragmatik started on the decks at 15 playing house, dance and dabbling in any genre he came across.
    His first residency landed in a bar on Plymouth’s Barbican at 17 playing funky house, RnB and Electro! As time moved forward so did the music......then playing darker dirty electro, dub and drum n bass he started a dubstep based night in Plymouth under the brand ‘Melty Face’!
    Joined the Bassfunk crew! Then with influences from old skool, hip hop, swing’, jazz, soul, rock, blues it wasn’t long before the likes of ElectroSwing, Glitch Hop and Ghetto Funk took over his life!
    He’s live in The Cove from 10am till 1am.
