50/50 Draw returns to The Cove

ORGANISERS are hoping for another record-breaking crowd when the Hove Cove Life Boat 50/50 draw returns here this month.

The monthly fund-raising event takes place at The Cove on Friday, February 20 at 7pm.

And fresh from a successful debut as hosts last November, the venue is targeting a repeat during a potentially busy half-term week.

“It’s almost impossible to forget the welcome that we had last time we held the draw there,” said spokesman Ken Trowbridge.

“They really looked after us all, in what was the probably the largest gathering of members that we have had!

“No pressure then for this time!!

“So if you are in Hope Cove for the half term break, or down for that weekend, why not drop in for the draw?”

Nick The Fish back in Hope Cove

LOCAL legend Nick The Fish brings his trademark raucous set to The Cove Cafe Bar on Saturday, February 21.

Bring dancing shoes and expect plenty of crowd participation as the Devon-based singer-songwriter makes his debut on a special date at the Hope Cove venue.

Established as a must-see on both the local circuit and beyond, The Fish aka Nick Riley comes complete with a guarantee to win over any crowd he plays in front of.

Taking you on a rollercoster of Motorhead through to the Jungle Book, his set list has to be one of the most diverse out there – ever growing thanks to an invitation to fire out requests ad hoc.

A renowned and sought after musician who’s versatility, guitar expertise and vocal skills are in constant demand, Riley is equally at home playing 5 star hotels to the rowdiest of bars.

He’ll read the crowd and deliver.

Everyone’s welcome as the venue plays host to Dawn Handley’s birthday celebrations.

It’s going off at around 9.30pm with admission free.
