HIGHLY-rated indie folksters Velvet and Stone promise a musical masterclass on their debut at The Cove (Sat Oct 7).

Bringing a stunning combination of rich vocals, acoustic guitar, bass riffs, keys and violin, the Devon collective have won over hearts and minds with an original take on a traditional genre.

Drawing upon personal stories, melancholy tales and rugged landscapes, they create a serene and haunting sound that is difficult to forget.

Debut record The Storm was released last year to critical acclaim and airplay across the UK and internationally.
With glowing accolades for their live shows, the band have quickly built upon this success, playing at Cambridge Folk Festival, Celtic Connections, Sidmouth Folk Festival and Somersault Festival.

Founding members Lara Snowdon (vocals and guitar) and Kathryn Tremlett (violin and piano) arrive as a duo at The Cove ahead of their ‘Embers’ EP release a week later.

Live on the first floor from 9.30pm, admission is free.
