LIVE music, a chance to meet Santa and beautiful handmade gifts are on offer at the inaugural Hope Cove Christmas Fayre.

Hope Cove Gallery and The Cove Cafe Bar have teamed up to kick off the festive countdown with a special weekend over Saturday and Sunday, November 28/29.

Youngsters will have an opportunity to hand over their wish lists to Father Christmas who will be in The Cove at around 4pm on the Saturday.

Vouchers for Kayaking trips, reflexology, champagne and meals can be won in a Big Prize Raffle will all proceeds going to Malborough School.

Open until 8pm, Hope Cove Gallery is offering a hefty 10% discount on all artwork over £10 throughout the weekend with lots of handmade Christmas gifts on offer

Local musician John Connor plays tracks from the likes of The Beatles through to Snow Patrol on the Saturday (9pm) with festive food, mulled wine also available.

New Year’s Hootenanny in Hope Cove

SEE in the New Year with an eclectic blend of local musical talent at The Cove’s Hootenanny on Thursday, December 31.

Exceptional bluesman Ben Carr hosts and performs with his funky rockin’ band The Hot Rats alongside fellow stalwarts and prospects from the local circuit.

Driven by energetic big band drumming (Aly Day), they deliver fresh hard-hitting sounds with big grooves and infections walking double bass lines (Tom Carr) – punctuated by soulful vocals and electrifying guitar leads.

Get ready to rock ’n’ roll, this band never fail to get a crowd dancing.

A special set-menu will be on offer from 7pm, booking is advised while the bar and music is open to all revellers.

Celebrate the arrival of 2016 in true Hogmanay style in Hope Cove.
